The Just Fare Safety Promise
Across our years as operators and designers of food programs and businesses, the health and safety of our people and the communities we feed has always been our top priority. Operating during the 2020 pandemic is no different, but we think it’s important to tell you exactly what we’re doing to back this up.
At Fare, our COVID-19 safety protocol is an extension of our existing food safety practices, which include:
Wash hands throughly and sanitize all surfaces
Cook to proper internal temperature
Monitor time and temperature during food transport and service to keep foods out of the danger zone
Eliminate cross-contamination
Be mindful of your surroundings, and if you see something, say something!
In addition, all of our kitchen and hospitality team members are certified as ServSafe Food Handlers or Managers as required by California law, and always have been.
In response to COVID-19, we have implemented the following additional safety measures:
Requiring vaccination and boosters for all employees
Daily Health Checks for all employees
Reorganizing our kitchen and guidelines for maintaining 6’ of distance between employees at their desks and stations, as well as flow between spaces
Procedures for vendors delivering food and other supplies to our kitchen to maintain social distancing
Reiterating and reinforcing our hand washing policy
Cleaning and disinfecting Policy for kitchens, vehicles and client sites
PPE requirements for all employees — gloves, hats/hair restraints and face masks
Reiterating and reinforcing our food handling guidelines, with additional procedures for passing items contactless
Limiting facility access to only employees with assigned shifts
Expanded Sick and Paid Family leave for our employees so that they can stay home as needed while maintaining their regular wages
Our number one goal is to provide a safe working environment and to ensure everyone stays healthy as we return to work.
We’d love to work with you to guide and implement operational updates for providing meals, snacks and beverages in your workplace, and rest assured that our team will be using these procedures no matter what.
